The RAHA (Refugee Advancement through Humanitarian Aid) Foundation is dedicated to providing care and aid to those affected by the current refugee crisis. Through local and international aid, our members strive to leave a positive impact in our global community.

“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

What We Plan to Achieve

RAHA aims to provide as much relief as we possibly can to refugees in Houston and those overseas. Through our local efforts, raising funds, hosting events, raising awareness and traveling overseas we will achieve these goals.

  1. Awareness: Knowledge is the most important tool a person has and through our organization we hope to bring awareness and spread knowledge about the refugee crisis.

  2. Service: RAHA’s underlying goal is service and through this we will be able to reach many people. Service is defined as, “the action of helping or doing work for someone.” Our organization strives to provide service to the refugee population.

  3. Compassion: Being able to care for others and understand the struggle that a person has gone through makes us, as humans, more susceptible to help them. With compassion in our hearts, our drive to help those who have suffered great tragedies, will be strengthened.
